The Peninsula Hotel, Bangkok

This award-winning project is one of Kanok Furniture and Design's best showcases. Not only were international inspection teams on hand to attest to the quality of the work, but the hotel owner (a flying enthusiast) also took a very personal interest in the Helipad Lounge, demanding only the best for this room.
Of course, for a world-class hotel brand, nothing less than perfection is acceptable, and Kanok is further proud to point out that to date, no renovation has been required.
Furthermore, not only was this the biggest project that Kanok has undertaken to date, it was also completed successfully in the midst of the Asian Economic Crisis.
China World Hotel, Beijing

Perhaps Kanok Furniture and Design's most challenging project to date, with a myriad of obstacles to overcome. The project was carried out during the Tiananmen Square protests, which made importing workers and materials incredibly difficult. Kanok worked around this by training up local craftsmen quickly and to the same exacting standards as for any other project.
The challenges of designing for a completely different climate also had to be met, and it is satisfying to note that no renovations have been needed to this hotel to date.
